About Us
The Walper Tobacco Shop has been faithfully serving the KW Community for 130+ years. First founded in 1891 by Geo. O. Philip back when the city was named Berlin, this shop has survived through almost all of Canadian history. Now proudly ran and maintained by Peter Koebel, who's family has taken care of it for over 50 years. Originally located in downtown Kitchener, we moved location in 2021 to provide a larger and more efficient space for our customers. And after 130 years at the same location, we decided it was time for a bit of a change in scenery! We provide a wide range of products, including cigars, pipes, and cigarettes, as well as shaving supplies, tobacco accessories, and lighters.
